COGNITIVEX · PRICING

Start free. Scale when your app gets smart.

CognitiveX pricing is metered on the one thing that costs us money: recall. Storing memories is always free. Pick a plan, or pay only for what you use.

THE PLANS

Four plans, one cognitive layer.

Every plan ships the full LCM: semantic, episodic, procedural, and foundational memory; pattern detection; salience; overnight dream consolidation; and cross-agent recall over the SDK, MCP, and HTTP API. Higher tiers raise your recall-credit allotment and memory ceiling, not your feature set.

Annual billing saves roughly two months versus paying monthly. You can switch plans or move to pay-as-you-go at any time. Unused monthly credits don't roll over.

HOW CREDITS WORK

You pay to remember nothing. You pay to recall.

Storing a memory is always free, on every plan. The meter only runs when CognitiveX reaches back into your living memory and reasons over it. That's the expensive part, and it's the part that makes the LCM more than a database.

A recall costs credits by depth, set by how far the cognition engine searches and how much it synthesizes:

Recall depthCreditsWhat it does
Foundational1Pulls identity-anchored, always-relevant context: who the user is, core facts, standing preferences.
Standard3Semantic search across the relevant memory tier, ranked by salience and recency. The everyday recall.
Deep10Wide, cross-tier retrieval with reasoning over patterns and relationships, for the hard, ambiguous asks.

Most calls are Standard. A typical agent turn does one recall, not ten, so a single month of Awakened credits covers a lot of real usage. If you ever outgrow a fixed plan, pay-as-you-go bills the same per-depth credits with no monthly cap and a spend limit you set yourself.

WHICH PLAN

Pick by where your app is, not how much you'll spend.

  • Building a prototype? Start on Amnesiac. 100 credits and 1,000 memories is enough to wire up the SDK, see recall working, and prove the loop. No card.
  • Shipping a real product? Awakened is the working plan: half a million monthly recall credits, a million memories, dream consolidation, and deep recall.
  • Running at scale? Conscious lifts the memory ceiling entirely and gives you 15M credits with highest-priority recall under load.
  • Spiky or unpredictable traffic? Pay-as-you-go bills per recall with a cap you control. No plan to outgrow.

QUESTIONS

Pricing FAQ

Is storing memories really free?

Yes. Writing memories, across all four tiers, never costs credits, on any plan. You're only metered on recall, because retrieval and reasoning are what consume real compute. Build up as much memory as your plan's ceiling allows without watching a meter.

What exactly is a recall credit?

One unit of retrieval-and-reasoning over your living memory. Cost scales with depth: Foundational recalls cost 1 credit, Standard 3, and Deep 10. You choose the depth per call, so you stay in control of spend. Cheap context-loads stay cheap, and you only pay for deep reasoning when you ask for it.

Do unused credits roll over?

Monthly plan credits reset each billing cycle and don't carry forward. If your usage is uneven month to month, pay-as-you-go is usually the better fit. You pay for the recalls you actually make, with a spend cap you set so there are no surprises.

Can I change plans later?

Anytime. Upgrade, downgrade, or switch to pay-as-you-go from the dashboard. Your memories and the cognition built on top of them stay intact across plan changes. The memory is the model, and it travels with your account.

How does annual billing work?

Awakened is $20/mo or $199/yr; Conscious is $200/mo or $1,999/yr. Annual billing works out to roughly two months free versus paying monthly, on the same credit allotment.

Is this for my app, or for me?

CognitiveX is the LCM developer platform. These plans price the cognitive layer you build on, via the SDK, MCP, and HTTP API. If you just want a personal AI with persistent memory, that's iCog, the consumer app built on the same LCM.

Start free. The meter only moves when your app gets smart.

Wire up the SDK in minutes, store all the memory you want for nothing, and only spend a credit when CognitiveX reasons over it.
